God’s faithfulness continues to amaze me. After a vigorous three weeks of outreach with the ship in Fiji, I find myself back in NZ. We visited 4 different villages, giving medical, dental and optical care to thousands of locals free of charge! Now on the South Island of New Zealand, I’ll lead half the school as we journey north across the country. We are trusting God to guide us over our three week journey: believing in God for his heart for the people of New Zealand, for provision of transportation, accommodation and food, and to lead us in ministry during that time. The other half of the school is ministering on Rabi Island in Fiji – working with refugees from the Kiribati island group – and will rendezvous with us in New Zealand shortly before graduation on June 11.

From there the question on my heart has been, “what’s next God?” As Havalah and I have been praying about what to do in the weeks leading up to our marriage, and the months after, we found Him leading us to continue on with Marine Reach Ministries through the end of 2009. We have been invited to join an incredible, nationwide campaign challenging 30,000 young people to answer the call on their lives to missions; however God decides that may look for them. Our ship, the M/V Pacific Link, will go from port to port around NZ as part of this campaign. Our role will be in the advance work, going ahead of the ship to plan with pastors, ministries and youth for this great nationwide movement!

This is an amazing opportunity for us to serve God, networking across the nation where we will begin our lives as a couple. As my role changes, both in ministry and in becoming a husband, so do my needs. In addition to my churches in Tempe, AZ and Wheaton, IL I’m inviting you to partner with me in prayer and financial support. The prayer need is greater than ever as the challenges ahead grow and we encounter new opportunities for God to move.

We are seeking for supporters to partner with us until the end of the year, beginning in July. Our monthly need is $1800 USD to cover our cost of living, transport and other ministry needs. If 30 people agreed to give $60 a month we would meet our budget for the year. We are believing in God to provide it all, whether through monthly supporters or one-time gifts. We will continue to send out prayer requests via email and post them to the blog as well. Please contact me if you don’t currently receive these emails and want to; we’re always happy for more prayer warriors joining in the battle with us.

We’re very excited for what God has promised us for these months ahead and hope you are too! Please prayerfully consider how God would have you be a part of our work here in NZ.
