Instructions for editing/deleting a saved gene list
The first step is to click on the link, Manage saved gene lists., encircled in red below.
Clicking on the aforementioned link will bring up the page below. There are four numbered items of importance on this page.
You have two sets of gene lists, one is contained in the section Your private gene lists labeled with 1 and the other is list is contained in the section Public gene lists you created labeled with 2. We will be going over the option in the private list below, but the functions are the same for both. First off, the button Edit List, immediately below the label, 3, applies to the gene list name immediately to the right and on the same line (i.e., cyps). When you click on the Edit List button, you have several options that we will go over in the next section. The button, Delete?, immediately below the label, 4, will allow you to delete a gene list and we will go over that below, too.
When you click on the Edit List button you will be taken to the respective gene list editing page. An example of this page is shown below. There are four items of interest. The first labeled with 1, is the section where you can uncheck genes (probes) that you no longer want to be included into your list. The item labeled 2 allows you to modify the name of your gene list. The item labeled 3 allows you to change the description of the list. The item labeled 4 will allow you either to make your private gene list into a public list or to turn a public list into a private list. After you've made your desired modifications, click the Update button to proceed.
After submitting your updates, you'll get a notification that they've been made. Click the Close Window button to close this page.
Returning to the deletion process, when you click on the Delete? button you'll receive a prompt as shown below. If you click on the OK button you will delete the gene list.
