Letter of Intent for Treasurer - Swarupa Purandare

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

I would like to nominate myself for the position of Treasurer for 2009. I have served on the NetSAP board for last 3 years as Social , Professional chairs and  most recently as the current Treasurer (2008). 

During my tenure on the board, I helped organize various events and manage NetSAP financials. Being actively involved in NetSAP over the last three years has provided me with a good understanding of the organization. As the organization grows financially it becomes important to manage the finances efficiently and invest money for its future success. 2008 may also be the first year NetSAP Boston will have to file tax returns. While this is good because it symbolizes the growth of the organization financially, it also brings enormous responsibility into the organization.

With a background  in technology and an MBA (specialization in finance), I am confident of taking NetSAP Boston to the next level financially. I would like to take this opportunity to continue my involvement in the organization for the coming year in the role of Treasurer. Being on the board for the past few years has been a great experience and I look forward to continuing it in 2009.
