Letter of intent for President - Pallavi Chhabra

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Position nominated for: President, NetSAP-Boston

I have been part of the NetSAP-Boston board for past three years. I started as the Social/Networking Chair and moved on up to the position of Vice-President within one year. I have been serving as the Vice-President for two consecutive years. I have been deeply involved in working with the different stakeholders of NetSAP-Boston and believe that my experience will be an asset in leading the organization. Without a doubt, I feel that I am ready to take the reigns of the board and help lead the organization in 2009.

As part of the board, I have been intimately involved with a number of different activities that fall within the two major pillars of the organization: Social and Professional. I also led the Logistics team for the 2008 NetIP conference held in Boston earlier this year. In the past few years, NetSAP Boston has evolved to become one of the best NetIP chapters. I had the opportunity to collect the award on behalf of the Boston board for the "Best Large Chapter of the year" for three years in a row at NetIP conferences. I would love to leverage my leadership skills and resourcefulness in order to maintain this upward trend. I am extremely passionate about NetSAP-Boston and would like to change the face of the organization for the better.

In my professional life, I work for Specialized Technology Resources, Inc. located in Canton, MA. I also like to volunteer my time towards other nonprofit organizations in Boston including Tie-Boston and Sahayta - a charitable organization that provides holistic support to cancer patients in India.

In conclusion, I am highly interested in this position and see this is an opportunity to hone my leadership skills and contribute to the growth of the organization. I am certain that my interpersonal skills, personality and experience will help me become successful in the position as President. I will look forward to working with the entire team and serving the organization with the best of my intentions.

Sincerely,

Pallavi Chhabra
