LETTER OF INTENT for MEMBERSHIP CHAIR - SANJAY TAMHANE 

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

I am writing this letter to declare my interest in sharing the Membership & Marketing Chair responsibilities in 2009. Given my past experience in this role as well as my professional background, I believe I can make a significant impact in the coming year as co-chair.

As Membership & Marketing chair in 2008, I have been responsible for building NetSAP Boston’s membership base, spreading awareness about events, and responding to any membership issues that arise. This year I executed several membership initiatives, which helped increase total membership to nearly 300 members, up from approximately 230 members in 2007.

I also promoted NetSAP Boston events within the community and set up ticketing for these events. In addition, I helped facilitate partnerships with several local South Asian organizations, including South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston (SABAGB) and Indian Medical Association of New England (IMANE).

I have learned a great deal about what it takes to succeed in this position and am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and helping NetSAP Boston achieve its goals in 2009.
