Objective: Use the Internet and spreadsheets to find calories and fat in a typical
fast food meal.
Decide which fast food restaurant you would like to visit.
Use the internet to find nutritional information for that restaurant.
Plan a meal with a sandwich, salad or other main dish, a side dish (French fries, etc), a drink, and a dessert. For each item on your menu, record the total calories, fat, sugar, and sodium. Don’t forget the salad dressing if you have a salad!
Enter your data in an Excel spreadsheet. Column headings should be Menu Item, Total Calories, Total Fat, Total Sugars, and Total Sodium.
Find the average, maximum, and minimum values for Total Calories, Total Fat, Total Sugars, and Total Calories from Fat.
Use different formatting options such as, fill color, font color, font size, themes, styles, etc.
Prepare a graph of your choice based on the information included in your spreadsheet.
Do not include average, maximum, and minimum in your graph.
Step Four
Print and turn in the entire workbook.
