This chart from the Bureau of Labor Statistics clearly shows that the higher level of education you earn the less likely you are to be unemployed and the more money you will earn per week.
To have a little more appreciation for the value of education you also need to have an understanding of the high cost of living (C.O.L.A.) in southern California.
