Title: Area Coordinator

Status: Volunteer

Reports To: Operations Manager

Summary:

Plans, manages and coordinates various community service projects and activities with local non profit organizations to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are achieved. Responds to inquiries regarding schedule and logistics issues.


Essential Functions:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Facilitates project scoping, planning and completion .


Provides assigned project tracking & reporting.


Work with business development and project inventory groups to complete assigned projects and tasks for the team.


Coordinate schedules for volunteers, NPO’s and recipients.


Manage projects from point of assignment through completion, including working directly with volunteers, NPO’s and recipients to drive projects to completion with the highest levels of quality and timeliness.


Reviews punch list reports; consults with Operations Manager and takes appropriate actions.


Serves as back-up to the Operations Manager for all communications pertaining to the assigned projects and teams.


Supports the Operations Manager in increasing productivity and efficiency of project implementation processes and procedures.


Supports the Operations Manager by generating material and supply needs for assigned projects.


Requires the ability to communicate effectively with all levels both verbally and written.


Participates on FH&L committees and cross-functional teams as assigned.

Education

(Degree & Field)

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts from an accredited university preferred.

1-2 years related experience with project management required.

Local travel will be required. When not traveling to project sites, work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and the noise level is usually moderate.


While performing the duties of this job, the volunteer occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles and around construction maintenance sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not from temperature changes (heat in summer; cold in winter).
