Attached is a new integrated Policy and Procedure regarding Split
Collections. I recommend that you or whoever conducts the November
Board meeting ask the Board to approve it there.
As you recall, when the Board approved a draft Procedure on Split
Collections at their September meeting they attached a proviso that
they wanted this new procedure combined with our policy on split
collections. After the meeting, however, I found no such policy; so I
drafted a brief new policy on split collections and inserted it at the
beginning of the longer procedure which the Board had already approved.
I then submitted the combined policy and procedure for approval at the
October Board meeting, which I did not attend, but I am told that the
Board decided not to vote on it then because they did not realize it
was an update-- they thought they had already approved it in September.
So, here it is for the November meeting. The principal change since
September is the insertion of a new draft policy in front of the
procedure. There are also a few minor revisions in the procedure
portion of the package, but these are minor and not anything of likely
interest to the Board.
