Back to school, WSWA, light; therefore will start earlier requesting donations
next year.
Cuba Caravan well, but affected badly by hurricaine.
ISSP
7 people expressed interest in making meals but no new leader
came forward to organize UU’s new role in meeting new needs of program –monthly
feeding of 40 shelter residents. Helene suggested that program be sent
back to board if no one in SAC wants to take on because we shouldn’t let it
die. Per Marcia, Deborah has already put it out to all fellowship.
New request from shelter, entertainment for homeless evenings,
movies, etc.
Marriage Equality Matching donations- SAC to sponsor
Motion to sign off on Split Collection Procedures passed, but Deborah and
others set up a flow sheet to make it easier for staff.
NB I am unable to get the second half of SAC minuted due to malfunction
of Fran’s computer.
Welcoming- no new chair, Fred carries on.

1. Sent letter to 44 visitors since 1/1/08
inviting them to join us on Homecoming Sunday.

Bulletin Board. Will add Friends with next update.
3. Donated new pamphlet rack & added

1. Welcome letter to visitors being
transitioned to Pallas.
2. New name tags -
1. Design from Art
Committee allows for 2 lines designating committees a person is on.
2. Propose to have
different colors for Board (light green), COM (yellow) & Membership
(orange). Any other distinctions that should be made?
4. New Business (To be discussed at 9/16 Membership Committee meeting)
1. Suggestion: Send out a letter
to former members who left during turbulent times & invite them back to
work with us during Pallas’ consulting ministry.
2. Margaret requested that ushering be added
to the October Coordinating Council Meeting Agenda. Will discuss if the
topic should be broadened to look at all the things that need to be done on
Sunday for the service so that we may work together to figure out the most efficient
or logical or practical (or a combination thereof) way to take care of things
on Sunday, thereby defining, for everyone's knowledge, who (or what Committee)
does what.
