Manulife Financial/JH Financial Toronto– Executive Assistant May 2006 – July 2008

As the Executive Assistant to two Assistant Vice Presidents, I was responsible for various administrative functions including: Creating PowerPoint presentations, reports and additional documentation for a variety of meetings; setting up and maintaining all technical equipment and problem solving any issues that may arise; coordinating and arranging all aspects of meetings including conference calls, catering, and materials needed prior to and during meeting; formatting and editing various reports including daily reports, monthly budgets and performance to plan reporting; processing invoices for payment; booking flight arrangements and accommodations as required; acting as lead support for key projects through project administration and documentation


Manulife Financial KW – Recruitment Services HR - Recruitment Administrator 2006 Contract

Hired on contract to cover a medical leave, my main duties included managing paperwork for all hiring activities ensuring accuracy and timeliness; working with payroll, benefits and other functional HR departments to ensure an effective and consistent flow of information was met; monitoring contract extension dates, following up with managers and preparing contract extension letters and coordinating paperwork on new hires to be sent to Payroll Services.


Campaign Coaches, Fundraising Consultants- Associate Events Consultant   2005 Contract

Hired as the Events Consultant with Campaign Coaches, an independent firm devoted to assisting charities with fundraising efforts, for the purpose of increasing attendance through effective marketing. As the Events Consultant, I composed and distributed press releases, produced advertising material, created and developed the event program, and organized and delegated volunteer ticket sales.

In addition to the event, I also was involved in developing material for the Campaign Coaches website; and assisted with the preparation of reports, correspondence, marketing materials and project descriptions.


Specialty Care Long Term Care, Community Relations/Marketing Coordinator 2005 Contract

Hired on contract for the sole purpose of marketing Specialty Care’s newest Long Term Care facility to the Mississauga Road community, I ensured the development of the Home’s image and reputation while advertising the home for potential clients and residents. As the Community Relations Coordinator, I was responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of a facility marketing plan; staff training on marketing; and lease-up procedures.  I also was in charge of providing tours, lease up interviews, and admissions support during peak occupancy times; including follow up of all active prospective residents.


GE Canada, Public Relations Assistant 2003 Contract

As GE Canada’s Public Relations Assistant, I was hired as part of the company’s graduate program, providing me with valuable experience and exposure to the corporate world over the course of six months.


My main responsibilities included: assisting with the planning and implementing of several GE events; updating the GE Canada Corporate website as well as updating the Crisis Communications website; providing administrative support to the Public Relations Manager as well as the CEO (filing, researching, monitoring media, Outlook, providing PowerPoint presentations) While I was part of the GE Canada team, I volunteered to participate as a member of the Prize Committee for GE’s annual United Way Campaign.
