7. MESSAGE FROM NATHAN HALE SARGENT – about Lodi
Student

Hi Nancy –

Nicole Voorhees, our Sacramento-area recruiter, will
help this student come up with a Peace Corps project,
so we don’t need a Lodi “mentor” anymore. However,
the student, Anne, wants to tape interviews with local
RPCVs. I think she has little video documentary in
mind. At your board meeting, can you please mention
this request and ways to have anyone interested get
involved?

I’m copying Mike Cushing’s newsletter. Mike, can you
please include this message in the next newsletter?
Thanks!

8. RPCV CAREER FAIR – for those seeking employment,
see below.

Dear RPCV affiliate groups:

In about six weeks, Peace Corps’ Office of Domestic
Programs, Returned Volunteer Services, will host its
next RPCV Career Event in Washington, DC. The event
includes three days of FREE hands-on workshops and
discussions for RPCVs focused on job searching and
career resources, and culminates in an RPCV-only
career fair with over 30 private-, public-, and
nonprofit-sector organizations.

The events will be held Monday, Dec. 3 and Tuesday,
Dec. 4, with additional off-site events tentatively
scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 5. All sessions will be
held in Washington, DC. Pre-registration is required
for all sessions, and attendees are responsible for
their own travel and lodging costs.

Please feel free to post the attached flyer and/or
share copies of it with RPCVs in your network. More
information on the December RPCV Career Event can be
found at www.peacecorps.gov/rpcv/events.

In other exciting news: We are working hard offer more
local career-related events for RPCVs living around
the U.S.; two successful events were held in Atlanta,
GA, and New York, NY, over the summer. Be sure to
keep checking the Returned Volunteer Services events
webpage (www.peacecorps.gov/rpcv/events) for
announcements about local events in early 2008.

We hope members of your RPCV community will take
advantage of this exciting opportunity!

Best regards,
Bonnie
