Minutes of the Sacramento Valley Returned Peace Corps Volunteers’ Board Meeting
September 4, 2007

Members present:  Faith Boucher, Bruce Sandie, Nancy Sinnwell, Heidi Steger,  Jim Waters,

Members absent: Fran Kennedy, Veronica Rodriguez

1.  Approval of the August minutes
    -motion by Faith, second  by Jim, approved
2.  Treasurer’s Report
    -checks written for Solar Cookers - $100, calendars - $530,
                Children’s Hope Haiti - $250
    -problems with the transfer of banks
        -bank needs a list of officers, a tax identification number from the bank and another from the IRS, and no two signature checks
    -check with Washington Mutual about on line checking and ATM deposits
3.  Foothills Picnic
    -successful as usual
    -about 30 attended
4.  Adventures in Dining
    -El Salvadoran restaurant on Northgate - about 12 people attended
    -September 21st - Stolichniy - Russian food at 5601 Watt Avenue - Audrey and Faith in charge
5.  Annual Meeting
    -beverages - soda and beer; tableware - Audrey and Faith
    -ballot for board members - Audrey
    -possible new board members to be called:     
                            Steve Riggs (Mali) - ?
                            Dennis Fenwick - Audrey
                            Dan Holt - Mark
                            Meg Svoboda - Heidi
6.  Project Funding
    -Children’s Hope Haiti - Leisa Faulkner Barnes
7.  Peace Corps Recognition Day
    -at the State Capitol
    -Andy McKean (Cameroon/Kenya)
8.  Oral History Project - on going
9.  New Membership
    -need to acknowledge receipt of membership
    -Heidi volunteered to write notes to people
