Minutes of the Sacramento Valley Returned Peace Corps Volunteers’ Board Meeting
May 1, 2007

Members present:  Fran Kennedy, Bruce Sandie, Nancy Sinnwell, Heidi Steger, Mark Stivers, Jim Waters, Audrey Wiechman
Members absent:  Faith Boucher, Veronica Rodriquez
Members on leave of absence:  Debra DeBondt

 1.  Approval of the April Minutes
    -change Debra’s name from absent to on leave of absence
    -motion by Heidi, second by Mark, approved with the change
 2.  Treasure’s Report
 3.  Resignation from the board
    -Deborah Moskovitz has resigned from the board
 4.  Corporate Compliance 501
    -Faith filed a complaint on behalf of our group
 5.  Adventures in Dining
    -April - at Katmandu - about 22 in attendance
    -May will be at Queen Sheba at 1704 Broadway near 17th
    -Fran will be the coordinator
    -Audrey has Debra’s list to e-mail people
 6.  Nom Party Follow Up
    -about 30 people in attendance
    -next year ask San Francisco to send post cards to our membership - Jim can send the             labels
    -received an e-mail from Janet after the fact
    -one assignment was give at the event
 7.  Event Summary Form
    -Audrey has created an event summary form to be completed at the end of each event we             hold
 8.  Rebuilding Together (Christmas in April)
    -only three people participated
    -the organization seems to have plenty of volunteers
    -look for a new project in which our group can participate and be more involved
 9.  Report on the Goat/Pig Roast
    -a great success as usual
    -about 70 people attended
    -T-shirts were silk screened
10.  Human Race
    -unable to find information on the event this year
    -no participation
    -that is a loss of about three hundred dollars for our project funding
    -need to find another way to raise that money
11.  International Taxi at Arts in River Park on May 12th
    -at Scottish Rite Temple
    -there will be one easy up and we’ll need a table
    -Chris Glaudel will have his truck available to return the taxi to its garage
    -check with Jean and/or Karina to locate the map, tickets, etc.
        (found tickets during the meeting in special box)
    -Heidi ran 100 tickets during the meeting, Jim will run more that day if needed
    -more volunteers needed - Faith and Audrey will call the following:
        Rich and Mary Howard, Mary Ann Robinson, Susan Hodgson, Jean Landeen
12.  Project Funding
    -possible idea - wheelchairs for Cuba
    -idea from Shannon Hy ____? - RPCV Paraguay

    -Campout - June 14th - 17th
    -Foothill Picnic - Foresthill Park - August 19th
