SRPCV Board Meeting March 6, 2007
Members present: Faith Boucher, Deborah Moskovitz, Nancy Sinnwell, Heidi Steger,
Mark Stivers, Jim Waters, Audrey Wiechman
Members absent: Debra DeBondt, Fran Kennedy, Veronica Rodriguez, Bruce Sandie
1. Minutes of the February 6, 2007 meeting
-approved - motion by Heidi, second by Faith
2. Treasurer’s report
-some corrections were noted
-new form done on Quicken which shows no final balance
-will switch to EXCEL for future reports
3. Web Site
-Mark needed clarification on membership fees
-National is $35 and local is $15 which makes an individual membership to both $50
-family membership for 2 people is $90
4. Election of new President and Vice President
-Audrey Weichman for president and Bruce Sandie for vice president
-motion by Jim , second by Mark, approved
5. Follow Up on Corporate Compliance 501
-location address is 2740 Fulton Avenue suite 203
-contacting 3 people for advice on what to do because it seems to be a scam
-Faith may try to stop by the address
6. Adventures in Dining
-Symposium in Davis - Greek Food - 6 people attended
-March 16th - Debra needs someone to organize it
-Audrey and Faith organized it for Habibi on Fair Oaks Blvd.
7. Peace Corps Day
-Del Paso Manor - February 28th - seven RPCVs from seven countries presented to all
20 classes
-St. Francis School - two volunteers did an assembly for about 50 students in 7th and
8th grade
8. Upcoming Events
-March 14th - Mark may try to attend Veronica’s event at CSUS
-Nom Party
-date either April 17th or April 10th in Green Room at Sierra ll Center
-set up at 5:30, event from 6:00 - 8:00 PM
-Audrey will call Veronica R. about video player which had Veronica, Fran, and
Bruce last year - may add Faith and Heidi this year
-San Francisco should pay for the room and send out invitations to the noms
-refreshments - SVRPCVs - Heidi - veggie tray , ice chests, ice, beverages

9. Rebuilding Together
-Audrey in charge with Jean’s help
-group contact is SVRPCV for April 28th
-Heidi will send Audrey her participation list from a couple years ago
-register at Sacramento Rebuilding Together.org
10. Human Race
-in May - we think
-check to see if Fran will organize and be in charge for it
11. International Taxi in use on May 12th for Arts in River Park
-7:30 - 10:00 Set up - Bruce, Jim, Mark
-Shift workers
-10:00 - 12:00 Deborah
-12:00 - 2:00 Faith
-2:00 - 4:00 Audrey and Nancy
-4:00 - ? Take down - Jim, Nancy, Audrey
-need more volunteers at each shift
-need a truck to transport the taxi
12. American River Clean Up
-in September
-we believe Mary Ann will be in charge
13. Project
-discussion of possible project - KIVA - kind of general - specific projects are more of
a loan
-another possible project is for desks for a school in Mauritania - some questions need
answers
-idea from Faith for computers and classes needed in the Winters /Dixon area
-idea from Deborah for medical supplies needed in Honduras
-look for more projects - check Peace Corps Partnership or other ideas bylaws say we
can do 40% international and 40% domestic projects
-discussion of payments for two projects - payments were to individuals instead of to a
group one to Jonathon for the HIV AIDS mural project and the other to Mellissa
Withers for her project in Bali
14. Friendship Force
-an event on March 25th from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at 7997 California Avenue
