Minutes of the Sacramento Valley Returned Peace Corps Volunteers’ Board

Members absent: Faith Boucher, Debra DeBondt, Fran Kennedy, Mike
McKibbin, Steve Riggs, Mary Taylor, Jim Waters 

1. Approved the January 6, 2009 minutes 
-motion by Karen, second by Heidi 
2. Treasurer’s Report 
-adjust calendar sales and donations to have their own balance
for project funding 
-motion by Heidi, second by Bruce, report approved 
3. Business Cards 
-two choices 
-agreed that the s on the e-mail needs to be deleted 
-Bruce is donating them to the group 
4. Wine Tasting Event 
-Rominger Winery in east Davis off of Mace Blvd. 
-6:30 - 8:30 PM on March 20th 
-cost is $20 and our group receives $10 
-plan on food for about 100 people - should cost about $50 
5. Another possible fund raiser 
-Capital Bowl in West Sacramento - we might get 10% for the
evening 
-check with Mary Bryan - outreach in Davis 
6. Adventures in Dining 
-February 20th - Carmita at 5349 Sunrise Blvd. 
7. Chalk It Up 
-save discussion for a future meeting 
8. International Taxi 
-now stored in Paul Jorjorian’s warehouse 
-Arts in River Park - May 30th 
-If we are going to use the taxi at this event, we need someone
to be in charge of it. 
-No one at the meeting was willing to be in charge, but all are
willing to help and participate. 
9. Mid Winter Dinner 
-next time be sure the supplies are there 
-need to include newly returned volunteers - not included with
phone calls 
-need a performance or something new for the entertainment 
10. Mixer - at the Rubicon on February 19th from 6 - 9 PM 
11. E - News 
-include Adventures in Dining, the Mixer, the Wine Tasting,
Membership 
12. Next meeting March 3rd at 7 PM at Heidi’s
