PROJECT FUNDING – We are still accepting suggestions for projects to
fund. Recently your Board voted to extend loan funds, rather than our
usual grants, to the KIVA foundation. We have now given $200 loans to
Flor de Ventilla women’s cooperative in Paraguay, and Shazia M. Yahya’s
group of entrepreneurs in Pakistan. These loans will be repaid within
several months, and we will leave the funds with KIVA pending our
selection of another project to loan. If you have any pet projects or
suggestions for projects that need money, contact Steve Riggs (Africa
projects) steve.riggs@yahoo.com, Rich Howard (Central/South America)
rhoward1@surewest.net, Mark Stivers (Caribbean) mark@markstivers.com,

the Friends of India suggestion!
