NOTE: Our altar is open to all people who desire to be closer to God and strengthened in their faith. If you wish to receive the bread, simply open your hands. We are consecrating grape juice as well as wine. The wine is in the silver chalice, the grape juice will be in the ceramic chalice following the wine. If you wish to receive the grape juice, let the wine pass you by and indicate to the second chalice bearer you wish to receive. If you wish to come up for a blessing alone, cross your arms in front of you and the priest will know to give you a blessing.

Christmas Eve, 2007

The Celebration of the Holy Eucharist is the greatest blessing the Church can offer in the name of Jesus Christ.

If receiving Communion is part of your religious practice, please know that you are invited to come and take your place at this table of God's blessing. Receive the bread in the palm of our hand and either eat it immediately or hold onto it and dip it into the chalice of wine. If you choose to eat the bread, take a sip of wine from the chalice when it is offered.

If you do not choose to receive communion, please still come forward and ask the priest for a blessing.

Please follow the directions of the ushers to and from the altar rail.

The bread distributed during mass has a high significance for Christians : it is the body of Christ, their Lord and God. If you do not share our faith in the living presence of Christ in the eucharistic bread, we ask you not to join your neighbours at communion time.
