Homework this week . . .  (applies to everyone who is attending class)

1. Create a final draft of your chapter. Make sure I have the URL.

By Saturday the 24th at 3pm, please have a complete version of your chapter posted online at a URL I can access. I will then print and review papers, giving final feedback before outside evaluation. The outside evaluation determines who gets into the book.

Some reminders . . .

Length: Your chapter should be between 800 and 2000 words. No longer.
Visuals: You should feel free to use lots of graphics.
Tone: Write in a friendly tone that is also smart
Focus: Focus on a narrow topic. Write from the perspective of persuasion & motivation on Facebook.
Audience: Picture your audience as smart people working at HP, P&G, or UC Davis. They've used Facebook a little, but they are not experts. They don't quite understand why Facebook is such a big deal or why it has been so successful.

This week's topic hosted by Dana and Lisa

4. Work with your editing group

Each editing group has a different set of tasks, so your deadlines are different. Please work with your team this week in whatever needs attention.

To be listed as a co-editor on the book, you need to make a substantial contribution to the volume. I won't list people who don't do good work. This means at least 20 hours and good coordination with your team.

5. Take a couple minutes and evaluate Group Topics

Like previous weeks, I'm asking you to evaluate the work of the Group Topics for this past week. You should two notifications from SurveyMonkey.
