Teaching At Home

Hi Gang!

We had a great time at the beach last week!  We spent several days and nights just hanging out, looking for shells, riding the waves, and crabbin'...  The kids had a blast.  We went to Bon Secour National Wildlife Preserve, but it was a terrible fly biting day.  We were running to the van like we were in some sort of horror movie.  My legs were literally covered in flies.  They were terrible.  Besides the flies, we were visited by thousands of love bugs, huge "helicopter sized" dragonflies, huge grasshoppers, jellyfish, crabs, a baby lobster, an egret, etc..  We have a whole notebook page of questions to look up this week on Google.  Dae bought 3 hermit crabs while we were there, so we will make it a habitat this week.  We thought we already had one for them, but it turns out that they should not be in soil, so we will make another one.  You can see a Photo Show of us at the beach here:  Gulf Shores 2007

This week should prove to be a busy week.  We have Park Day on Friday.  I would love to see you all there.  Details are below.  We also have a Teen Scene on Friday.  If you would like more info on that, please contact me.  Monday we have the Seed 2 Plate field trip, and Wednesday is Junior Master Gardeners.
Also, I have started a new blog with my daily ramblings...  This is just stuff that goes on around my house and with my kids..  Sometimes it will be very interesting, and sometimes just plain boring, but I hope that you will tune in and check us out!!!  Live and Learn

Please remember that all the new information or changed information is in BLUE!!!

I hope you enjoy your week Teaching At Home, and I hope to see you all soon!
