Laura Mae Ruoff
Hey guys my name is Laura and I am a nursing student at Rutgers.  I have two beautiful girls and an amazing boyfriend.  I will graduate in May after seven long excruciating years of full time college.  I love to travel (especially to Disney World), go to the beach and hang out with my family.  I work at  Jefferson Hospital as a nurse extern.  Although I usually work weekends, this time of year I try to have off as many Sundays as possible so I can watch the EAGLES!  Want to see more, check out my facebook site.

Here is a picture of my family, me, Mike, Julia and Brielle at Wildwood this summer!

As stated before, one of my greatest interests is my family and traveling.  Prior to having children, I traveled through many countries in Europe.  My first Europe excursion was in high school.  During this trip I went to Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Lichtenstein and the Vatican.  After getting a taste of the European culture I loved it!  I wanted more.  This led to my summer studying abroad in Berlin, Germany.  I lived with a German host, Inga, and went to school in Berlin 4 days a week for 8 weeks.  After my classes ended I traveled to France, The Netherlands, Ireland, and Poland.  My favorite city abroad was Paris.  I loved the romance surrounding me, the delicious food and the exquisite architecture.
After having children, my travels have been limited to Disney World in Florida.  We have been there six times since my oldest daughter was born.  Both of my girls love Disney, and it helps that I have a lot of family in Florida.  Hopefully, within the next five years, I will be able to take my children to experience the European culture because that is where I truly love to travel.

For this class, I am interested in writing about the history of technology, more specifically, computers.  Prior to taking this course, and still, I had lots of difficulty navigating through computers.  It is interesting to learn that in the past, only "computer-geeks" knew how to work computers and that they are now "user-friendly."  I took this course to elaborate my minimal computer skills and to learn how to overcome my computer illiteracy.
