New Buildings Explored by Drexel Juniors

The following buildings were explored by juniors in my AE-390 class - "Architectural Engineering Design-I"
Students worked in groups of three.  They had 1-1/2 weeks for the project (2 working sessions in class).
The assignment details are:  Major Building

I'd note that these students have had no structural or HVAC design classes yet in their curriculum (basic principles, yes).  For many the idea of a structural load path, for instance, was a new concept.  There are therefore undoubtedly errors in what they accomplished that a more experienced individual will rapidly identify.  The idea here was to get them started thinking in these terms.
